A matching set comprising a cowl, hat, and fingerless mitts that I knitted for my niece as a gift.
I’ve realised revisiting a beloved pattern and combining three disparate patterns to create a cohesive set is fun. It becomes a set because the cowl, hat and fingerless mitts have been knit using the same sock yarn.
These were made using two balls of Regia sock yarn in a discontinued Kaffe Fassett colourway I had in my personal yarn collection. An equally beautiful set could be made using two balls of sock yarn of your choice.
There is an excellent choice in the Yarn Shop.
The fingerless mitts are my own Valentine Fingerless Mitts pattern.
The cowl is the Slipstream Cowl designed by Louise Zass-Bangham. This is a very stylish design with interesting textural details.
The hat is my Purple Ripples Hat pattern. My only change was to make it more of a beanie style rather than having some slouch, which my niece preferred.
A gorgeous coordinating cowl, hat and fingerless mitts set. Very stylish.
